Since day one the children in my classroom have showed so much love and interest in creating art and painting, but they were limited on how much they could create based on the space where we could leave art to dry. The biggest item we needed in our classroom was a high capacity drying rack! As soon as I put the rack together and found the perfect spot for it the children were curious about what it was and excited to see how much space was able to dry their art work on. This allows the children to be artistic and expressive while practicing their independent skills. \r\n\r\nWe have a large yard and plenty of grass but not much for the kids to do on the grass. teachers have helped bring in more items they find to help incorporate into our yard. We have children who enjoy playing on the grass, and now that we have bouncy balls and soccer balls they are able to explore more games with larger groups of friends. This is amazing as many of our kids don't have access to yards in their apartments and at times parks in our community are not the safest place for a kiddo. \r\n\r\nLastly, we received our Pete the Cat books and movement dices that the children have been enjoying like crazy specially during these rainy and cold days. The movement dices were a great addition to our classroom, and the kiddos loved all the movements they could practice doing as a group. We appreciate how much the addition of these materials has helped enhance the children's' ability to explore more movements and expression though art.","fullyFundedDate":1726114599448,"projectUrl":"project/getting-our-classroom-ready/8673552/","projectTitle":"Getting Our Classroom Ready","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Adziry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9687019"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_109136","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":18,"percentWhite":9,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":46,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":109136,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Arroyo Viejo Child Development Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Arroyo Viejo Child Development Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/oakland-unified-school-district/arroyo-viejo-child-development-center/109136"}
