Your generosity has brought so much excitement and joy to our students while also giving them a new way to learn and work together.\r\n\r\nWe use the wobbly chairs during small-group activities, where students enjoy having flexible seating as they collaborate and learn. We also turned the chairs into a special classroom reward. Students earn classroom money throughout the day and can use it to purchase a ticket to use a wobbly chair for the day. They are so excited when they have earned enough to choose this reward!\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new chairs, they were immediately curious and excited to try them. It was wonderful to see their faces light up and hear them talk about how much they wanted to use them. What may seem like a simple chair has become something that motivates our students, encourages positive behavior, and makes our classroom a little more fun.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students and helping make our classroom a welcoming and engaging place to learn. Because of the mega blocks, my kindergarteners were able to begin their adventures in the science lab with simple engineering through building bridges with their blocks using the engineering design process of building, testing, and refining. This allowed them to feel successful as we jump into more difficult building and exploring with less familiar materials. \r\n\r\nAlso, I showed my 3rd graders the fun googly eyes and they are excited to get to create their own animal life cycles soon! We are working to learn about the various life cycles of creatures and they know they'll have to do research and model one. The excitement and discussions of how to use the googly eyes are already happening. \r\n\r\nI so appreciate donors like you that help me give my students creative, exciting, hands on lessons to engage them in both science and engineering!
