This calm corner has quickly become a safe haven where children can take breaks, regulate their emotions, and simply breathe when the classroom feels overwhelming.\r\n\r\nWhether it's using a cuddling up in the chair that feels like a hug, choosing a sesory mat to hold, sitting on one of the wobble cushions, or using the quiet fidgets, our students now have a place where they feel seen, supported, and safe. It's more than just a corner of the room—it's a reflection of empathy and inclusion, made possible by donors like you.\r\n\r\nIn the uploaded photos you can see the finished calm corner as well as photos of the children using some of the materials. These pictures were not taken during a time of overstimulation or dysregulation. The pictures are from our introduction to the calm corner. Each child had a chance to learn how to use the calm corner and become familiar with the ways to calm themselves while they spend time there.
