My students and I could not have done this year the way we have without your help. My students have brought attention several times on how awesome it is to have all of the things we do that some other classes are not as fortunate to have.\r\n\r\nFor example, some items that have helped my students academically are the white boards, markers, and erasers. Those are easily a daily use. We use them all in our math rotation to solve problems interactively, check knowledge easily, and share their work with each other. \r\nCreatively. items such as the oil pastels, markers, cardstock, and colored paper have helped with multiple big art projects. Our shipment came late (by 2 months) due to a mixup in my district. When we did not have these items for that time, there was truly a huge gap in what we could do and how students could express themselves.\r\nIn the case of social-emotional learning, my students use things like the rug and flexible seating every day as well. It allows us to have a comfortable place to meet for circle time, if they aren't feeling well, and a space to calm down. It also allows them to pick a place to sit where they might learn better. Choice is key!\r\n\r\nAgain, this could not have been made possible without you. My students take their materials very seriously now that they have them. I am immensely thankful for you helping me through this time as a first-year teacher. \r\nTruly, I couldn't have done it without you.","fullyFundedDate":1721587454220,"projectUrl":"project/ms-cruzs-art-and-reading-classroom-dre/8500978/","projectTitle":"Ms. Cruz's Art and Reading Classroom Dream","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cruz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9444061_orig.png?crop=576,576,x454,y153&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721164478360","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9444061"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_34423","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":492,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":17,"percentWhite":34,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":38,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 7","studentTeacherRatio":"21.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":67.7,"schoolId":34423,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Oasis Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Oasis Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/morongo-unified-school-district/oasis-elementary-school/34423"}
