As I head into my second year of teaching, I am filled with excitement and gratitude knowing that I can now provide my 10th-grade students with the tools they need to succeed. Your donation has allowed me to stock up on essential organizational supplies, writing materials, and notebooks—resources that are already helping to create a more structured and student-centered environment. With your help, I've been able to launch interactive ELA notebooks that bring learning to life and give students a more personal, hands-on connection to our curriculum.\r\n\r\nI'm also incredibly grateful for the ability to purchase supplemental materials from Teachers Pay Teachers. These resources are enhancing our classroom instruction and giving students more opportunities to build their literacy, goal-setting, and reflection skills. By returning to a paper-and-pencil approach, students are becoming more engaged, focused, and confident in their learning. Your donation has allowed me to create a more engaging and structured environment where every student feels empowered and prepared.\r\n\r\nThe journals we're creating have truly transformed the way my students approach writing. Students have been using them to stock and organize the Mariner Café, which serves as our Tier 1 incentive program where students can \"purchase\" items with good behavior points. They've also created eye-catching fliers for upcoming school events, rally decorations to boost school spirit, and all the advertisements and displays needed to enhance campus pride. These supplies ensure that every leadership committee has what they need to bring their creative visions to life.\r\n\r\nThey were immediately excited to get started on their committee projects. For many, seeing the supplies sparked fresh ideas for events, decorations, and incentives. They quickly jumped into action—designing posters to place around campus, restocking the Mariner Café with appealing items, and brainstorming ways to make their projects even more engaging.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue improving the quality and impact of the PBIS Leadership projects. This means refining our Tier 1 incentive program, creating even more dynamic event advertising, and ensuring every student leader is equipped with the materials and confidence to tackle any project.
