The students were so excited to to be able to perform their show on the brand new football field. When they saw the flags and poker chips for learning the show, many of them literally jumped up and down for joy.\r\n\r\nThe first time they performed the show, they were extremely nervous, but they performed very well. I couldn't have been more proud to see how much they learned in such a short period of time. Our student had never before had the opportunity to learn a field show since we never had a field before. Every single one of them was starting with no prior experience, and they took it very seriously. They showed at 7:30am most days to practice finding their spots using the poker chips from this project, and our pageantry practiced a lunch to learn the flag routine.\r\n\r\nWe're looking forward to starting to learn another show next year. One of our activities was made possible and meaningful because of the protractors that we used in making our clinometers. Also, our warm-ups and team quizzes are more engaging and convenient with the wide whiteboards, wherein their solutions and answers are more visible and presentable. Moreover, the bell greatly helps in giving signals and getting their attention. \r\n\r\nMy students were delighted to see the new set of whiteboards, as they had been using the smaller versions before. Because of your support, we were able to get new sticks, strings, drum heads, and some auxiliary percussion. The new drum heads allowed us repair some snare drums, and were were able to use them in a parade and at our concert. The spare strings have helped us to replace strings on instruments that benefit both our orchestra and our new mariachi ensemble.
