The students love to explore using our awesome sensory experiences. Their eyes light up and you can hear the wonder and excitement in their voices each time they are exploring! \r\n\r\nStudents are learning to work as a team as they work together to fill up the water table. They are developing their social emotional skills as they are learning how to communicate with each other and be patient as they take turns at the different sensory stations. They are developing their fine motor skills and strengthening their muscle development and coordination by scooping, pouring, squeezing, and molding various sensory items. \r\n\r\nTheir cognitive skills are developing, learning cause and effect as they pour water or shape sand, teaching them the basics of physics and spatial relationships. They're also problem-solving and experimenting with tools and materials to figure out how things work. It's wonderful to see their language develop and build new vocabulary as they talk about the different tools they're using and exploring with or what the water, sand or pfluffle feel like.\r\n\r\nWithout you, this would not have been possible.
