Your contributions provided us with jumbo building bricks, building block magnet tiles, jumbo stamp pads, and a Play-Doh tool set. Let me tell you, the excitement was real when our students saw the materials for the first time! Their faces lit up with curiosity and joy, and they couldn't wait to dive right in.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the supplies in a variety of ways that support hands-on learning, creativity, and collaboration. The stamp pads have been especially helpful in both art and literacy activities. We used them for letter recognition practice by stamping out letters during small group lessons. Then, during our unit on The Three Little Pigs, students used the stamp pads to color popsicle sticks, which they used to construct houses representing each pig's home. It was a wonderful combination of storytelling, art, and engineering!\r\n\r\nThe jumbo building bricks and magnet tiles have been perfect for collaborative STEM projects. Students have been working together to build sturdy structures, which ties directly into our discussions on design, stability, and teamwork. The Play-Doh tool set has added a tactile, sensory element to our centers. Students have been using it to form letters and numbers and even design mini \"blueprints\" for future builds.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite classroom moments so far was watching a group of students test the strength of their \"brick,\" \"stick,\" and \"straw\" houses by pretending to be the Big Bad Wolf and blowing them down, complete with lots of giggles and teamwork!\r\n\r\nNext, we plan to expand our building unit by introducing simple measurements and blueprint drawings. Students will sketch their designs using rulers and grid paper before constructing them with blocks and tiles. This is all about encouraging planning, problem-solving, and creativity.\r\n\r\nThank you again for bringing so much joy and learning into our classroom. Your generosity has enhanced our materials and sparked deeper engagement and curiosity in our students.
