Your donations have made such a huge impact on my classroom learning environment, my students' learning and my confidence now, as a second year teacher. \r\n\r\nI began my first year as a teacher with limited materials and many great Goodwill finds. I created this wishlist in hope that I would receive items that would help my students learn in a play-based way that expanded their learning. I was so excited and grateful to receive everything on my wishlist, my students were also so grateful. \r\n\r\nAs a result of your donation, all of my students had access to snacks during breaks every single day. When my students tell me they are hungry, I can provide them with snacks and that helps field their body and minds, and allows them to feel safe and cared for. The Spanish alphabet tubs have been used to teach students early reading skills, and I am beyond grateful for this. I am excited to continue using them going into this school year. \r\n\r\nReceiving this donation has made me feel more confident going into this year because I now have resources to be creative with activities and provide more opportunities for development. This year, we began our unit on shapes. We were able to use the puzzles and shape cookie game to start off our math exploration. We have also started playing \"Who Stole the Cookie From the Cookie Jar?\" during ELD circle time. When we play, we pass our cookie jar around and students take one cookie when it is their turn. Students are having so much fun and it has helped one student in specific come out of her shell through singing and having fun. \r\n\r\nI appreciate the time you have taken to support our classroom, and your generosity. This donation has left us feeling grateful and supported as we continue our learning journeys together. The kickball and soccer ball quickly became favorites during recess, and students were thrilled to have equipment they could all enjoy together. The air pump has also been incredibly helpful, as it allows us to quickly refill balls that become deflated so students don't miss out on playtime.\r\n\r\nThe laminating sheets have been a huge support for our classroom lessons. We use them to laminate our monthly school values posters, which students refer to often. Laminating them means they will last not just this year, but for future classes as well, helping reinforce positive behavior and school culture over time.\r\n\r\nOur next steps include continuing to build student responsibility and organization using the cart, while also encouraging teamwork and physical activity through structured games at recess. Your support has truly made a difference for my students and for the way I am able to support them each day.\r\n\r\nThe materials the students loved the most were the flexible seating options—especially the leaf seats—and the rubber bands for the chairs. Whenever students feel fidgety, I see them using these tools to help them stay focused and regulated. It has been wonderful to watch them take ownership of their learning needs.\r\n\r\nThe laminating sheets and paper have been used for student projects and activities that require extra care so they can last longer and be reused. The playdough was another huge hit—students enjoyed it so much that each student received one to use as an early finisher activity.\r\n\r\nWhen students saw all the new materials, they were beyond excited. They kept saying things like, \"Mrs. Diana, who gave you those?\" \"Where did you buy them?\" \"Can we get more stuff?\" and \"This is so cool!\" Their excitement and appreciation meant so much.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, I will continue supporting my students to the best of my ability using these donated materials. I also emphasize responsibility and care so that the materials last longer and can benefit all students.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and generosity.
