Students were immediately drawn to it. Each student wanted a turn at the light table. We use the light table daily during choice time and rotations. Students explore materials such as translucent shapes, letters, numbers, blocks, and color tiles. The light table and materials support many areas of learning including math, literacy, science, and art.\r\n\r\nCurrently with the start of the new school year, students are exploring colored shapes and connecting cubes, but soon will be working with letters and numbers. I am planning on using x-rays during science and incorporate them in a Vet dramatic play center using the light table.\r\n\r\nThe addition of the light table has made a positive impact on my students.
