With the funds you provided, we purchased a new outdoor chicken coop, and it has quickly become a hub of discovery, responsibility, and community building. \r\n\r\nEach day, our students care for the chickens by feeding them, collecting eggs, and helping with the cleaning of the coop. These activities have given them hands-on lessons in responsibility, teamwork, and empathy for living creatures. Beyond the daily care, they are learning science concepts by observing the chickens' life cycle and needs, strengthening literacy skills through journaling and storytelling, and developing community awareness by selling eggs to help purchase food for the chickens. \r\n\r\nThis project has become a powerful example of how experiential learning can enrich multiple areas of growth. Our students are not only learning about animals and sustainability, but also practicing communication, problem-solving, and collaboration. Most importantly, they are experiencing the joy of contributing to something larger than themselves. \r\n\r\nYour donations have made all of this possible. Because of you, our students are gaining authentic experiences that connect science, literacy, and community goals in ways that will stay with them for years to come. \r\n\r\nOn behalf of our kindergarten class, thank you for investing in our children's education and for helping us nurture curiosity, responsibility, and community spirit.","fullyFundedDate":1761233085701,"projectUrl":"project/bring-the-farm-to-our-city-school-yard/9849725/","projectTitle":"Bring the Farm to Our City School Yard","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Perez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp523793_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1594329063634","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/sperez"},{"teacherId":10040654,"projectId":9429727,"letterContent":"My students were so excited when the new materials arrived.
