For example, we ended the unit on narrative writing and they did the \"favorite line\" activity, students were actually excited to use the sticky notes to show off the parts of their work they were proud of. It seems simple, but having enough sticky notes for everyone let them participate without hesitation, and they loved seeing their ideas displayed. The same thing happened with their essays. Being able to print them and hang them up made the work feel real to them, and they took more ownership because they knew their writing would be seen.\r\n\r\nFor our college research project, having colored paper and working markers made a noticeable difference. Students were genuinely excited to add color to their presentations, and when they realized their final drafts could be printed in color, they lit up. It gave the project a level of polish they don't always get to experience, and it motivated them to go a little deeper with their work.\r\n\r\nThe hygiene supplies brought relief in a quieter way. Students who needed them no longer had to ask or go without. They could just take what they needed and move on with their day. Overall, the room feels more supported. Students participate more freely because they trust that we're stocked and prepared for them. It's not dramatic, but it's steady, real impact, and it has made our classroom feel more complete.","fullyFundedDate":1753906369895,"projectUrl":"project/fresh-year-full-supplies/9376934/","projectTitle":"Fresh Year, Full Supplies!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Salcedo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8613613_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x228,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1717042312417","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8613613"},{"teacherId":8615968,"projectId":9576138,"letterContent":"I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your generous contributions of pencils and pencil pouches. These headphones are extremely comfortable and allow my students to complete independent assignments without distracting their peers. Students can work at their own pace.\r\n\r\nI've noticed that students who have anxiety like to use the headphones to relax and take their time completing assignments that require audio. Also, students like to listen to their favorite music if they have a few minutes of resting time. These headphones work amazingly well with the Chrome books each student has. The impact these machines will have on our middle school students will be truly remarkable.\r\nFrom the moment the machines arrived, the excitement among our students was palpable. Their eyes widened with curiosity as they explored the machines, eager to learn the intricacies of sewing. I hope to integrate sewing into various subjects, from art and design to technology and even math, where students learn about patterns, measurements, and geometric shapes. A project I hope to implement involves designing and creating personalized tote bags. Students would meticulously measure fabric, choose thread colors, and carefully stitch their creations, developing valuable skills in problem-solving, fine motor coordination, and perseverance.\r\nThank you again for your unwavering support.
