The students use it frequently when we have students who come into class crying we allow them to have a break and calm down.One of my students use to take the bus with his friend everyday until one day we found out his friend no longer will be in our school, the student will refuse to come out of the bus so the squeeze ball has helped him come out without a problem. When he comes to class he tends to still be upset so allowing him to sit down in the calming corner until he's feeling better has helped my student a lot. My students were super excited and happy but also very grateful to have the items, this was also a good way for me to explain the purpose of our cozy corner. The next step is for me to add more squeeze ball or items for them.","fullyFundedDate":1727872061561,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-corner-for-a-pcc-classroom/8731840/","projectTitle":"Cozy Corner for a Pcc Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Arianna","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9725077_orig.jpg?crop=1049,1049,x8,y367&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1726252860809","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9725077"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_30223","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":115,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":76,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":67,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - Pre-K","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":94.1,"schoolId":30223,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Vaughn Early Education Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Vaughn Early Education Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/los-angeles-unified-school-district/vaughn-street-early-education-center/30223"}
