Your support has made a huge difference in our classroom and has allowed us to bring Día de los Muertos to life in a way that is engaging, meaningful, and memorable for every student.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, we were able to provide materials for our students to explore this rich cultural tradition. They created colorful altars, decorated with papel picado, marigolds, and images honoring loved ones, and learned about the history, significance, and symbolism behind each element of the celebration. The students were excited to share their projects and discoveries with their classmates, which sparked meaningful conversations about culture, family, and remembrance.\r\n\r\nYour donation also helped us foster creativity, teamwork, and cultural appreciation. Students who usually feel hesitant to participate were eager to contribute to their group altar, write reflections, and even share stories about their own families' traditions. The pride and excitement on their faces were priceless, and it would not have been possible without your generosity.\r\n\r\nBeyond the materials, your support sends an important message to our students: that people care about their learning and their growth. Your contribution shows them that their education and their curiosity are valued, which motivates them to continue exploring, asking questions, and expressing themselves creatively.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us celebrate Día de los Muertos in a way that honors culture, learning, and community. My students and I are truly grateful for your generosity, and we will always remember your kindness.\r\n\r\nWith heartfelt appreciation.","fullyFundedDate":1759708061052,"projectUrl":"project/da-de-los-muertos/9731830/","projectTitle":"Día de los Muertos","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tobar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9517507"},{"teacherId":8904252,"projectId":9754382,"letterContent":"Thank you for your support of our Vintage Vibes pop-up store! So far our store has provided nearly 500 pieces of clothing and personal hygiene items to students in critical need at our school. We plan to continue opening the store once a week throughout the spring semester.\r\n\r\nMy Freshman College and Career Readiness class has been deeply impacted as they have run the entire project, from assembling the racks to screen printing T-shirts for the workers to advertising the store to sorting and hanging donations to manning the store during lunch, on their own. I know they feel a sense of pride that as mere freshmen, they have created a project that serves all students.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, my senior Statistics class has supported by maintaining an inventory of all of the items in the store, updating that inventory after every store opening and using Google Sheets to track vital statistics about the store's impact. \r\n\r\nAll involved students have felt a sense of power that they have created something to help their fellow students. Because of your kindness, we now have the materials and resources we needed to bring lessons to life and make learning more engaging and hands-on.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when the supplies arrived! Their faces lit up with curiosity and joy as we unpacked everything. It was a beautiful reminder of how powerful generosity can be. Each item you helped fund has already started making a positive impact—helping students stay motivated, organized, and inspired to learn. For many of them, these resources provide opportunities they might not otherwise have.\r\n\r\nYour support reminds my students that people beyond our classroom care about their education and believe in their potential. That message of encouragement and hope goes far beyond the materials themselves—it builds confidence and inspires a sense of community and connection.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I am so grateful for the opportunity to create meaningful learning experiences thanks to donors like you. I know high school students aren't \"cute\" (more like stinky!!), but under the tough outer exteriors and the tattoos, they're truly kids at heart! And they aren't smiles I get to see often. Small groups of students who don't typically speak to each other, collaborating, communicated and cooperated to build Lego figures.
