As a result of your generosity, we were able to do owl pellet dissections -- we found tons of interesting skeletal bones and used our dichotamus key to determine where they came from!! We also were able to erect a protective fence to protect our legacy garden. We can't wait to observe the nocturnal critters who feast on buffets of our seedlings (ack!) on campus at night using our trail cam. We are about to start our own little ant farm! Share a specific classroom project or moment.\r\nThe new bucket seats, elastic leg bands, and noise-canceling headphones have transformed the way students engage with their work. During independent reading and writing time, students now have the option to choose a comfortable bucket seat, which has helped those who need a cozy spot to focus. The elastic leg bands provide a productive outlet for students who need to move while working, allowing them to stay focused without leaving their seats. The noise-canceling headphones have been especially helpful during our writing projects, allowing students to block out distractions and concentrate on crafting thoughtful pieces. One student shared that the headphones made it \"so much easier to think without the classroom noise,\" which has been a game-changer for many.\r\n\r\nHow did your students react when they first saw the materials?\r\nWhen students first walked in and saw the new seats and headphones, their faces lit up with excitement. Several students immediately asked if they could try the bucket seats during reading time, and many commented on how comfortable and fun they were. The leg bands were an instant hit with students who often have restless energy—they loved having a way to move without leaving their seats. One student said, \"This is the best thing ever! I can bounce my feet while I work!\" The headphones, in particular, received a lot of gratitude from students who find it hard to concentrate with background noise.
