These high-quality volleyballs have made a noticeable difference in our practices and games. Students have been using them to work on serving accuracy, passing drills, and team scrimmages, and the improved flight stability of the balls has helped students better understand ball control and positioning. One memorable moment was watching a group of beginners successfully complete a long rally for the first time because they were able to better track and control the ball, which really boosted their confidence and excitement for the sport.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new volleyballs, they were immediately excited and eager to try them out. Many of them commented on how professional they looked and felt compared to our older, worn equipment. Several students even stayed late after lunch just to get a few extra serves and hits in. The new equipment helped create a sense of pride and ownership in the club, making practices feel more official and motivating students to take the activities more seriously while still having fun.\r\n\r\nAs we continue to build our Volleyball Club, our next steps are to focus on developing more advanced skills such as offensive plays, communication on the court, and teamwork strategies. We are also working toward organizing friendly matches and possibly a small intergrade tournament to give students a chance to apply what they are learning in a game setting. These volleyballs will continue to play an important role as we help students stay active, build teamwork skills, and create a positive community during the school day. Each day when students enter the office, they are wonderfully surprised at the newest addition of our cozy chair in the corner. \r\n\r\nDuring the day, you can find a student seated relaxing, winding down, or engaged in mindful breathing. I have even had personal conferences with students who are enduring challenges and need to have someone listen. They are also offered play doh and fidget tools to help them regulate and take their mind off the stress they're experiencing. In addition, the yummy snacks provide nutrients for students who have not taken the time to eat or are low on energy and they love the variety. \r\n\r\nWe also had a planner party where we invited students to bring their agendas and plan out their semester. Students loved the variety of washi tape and fun stickers and continued to stop by the college center weekly to add color and organization to their planners. \r\n\r\nStaff and students alike find comfort in the college center and use it as a place to chat, feel productive, or rest.
