The immediate impact of these dreamy ukuleles for students was monumental, as the majority of my scholars are experiencing the power of music making for the first time! Quoting one of the many student ukulele thank you letters that were written, \"We love how we all sound when we play together; \" I couldn't agree more.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, students will continue to expand the musical connections and skills they have begun to acquire, thanks to the blue ukuleles. From the development of finger position and chord formation, to strumming along and singing to favorite songs of their own, to collaborating with fellow classmates on songwriting and song performance projects, the ukuleles are setting students upon an amazing journey of musical appreciation that ultimately, will have an impact towards boosting their attendance, their grades, and their happiness; what more could we ask for.","fullyFundedDate":1724083704941,"projectUrl":"project/supporting-musical-dreams-with-ukuleles/8523622/","projectTitle":"Supporting Musical Dreams With Ukuleles!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Adam","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9610505"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_7561","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":425,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":91,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":98,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":76.9,"schoolId":7561,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Downtown Value School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Downtown Value School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/los-angeles-unified-school-district/downtown-value-school/7561"}
