The Eric Carle additions are classic pre-k and kindergarten materials that help students learn colors, numbers, sounds, and think critically. For instance Hello, Red Fox teaches complimentary and opposite colors, while The Hungry Caterpillar is a great counting book. Story time will also be extra awesome thanks to Elbow Grease by John Cena! The older students have been enjoying Babysitter's Little Sister so much that as soon as the books are checked in, they are checked out again within minutes! This is a great graphic novel series that contains simple stories highlighting everyday challenges that are relatable to students. Some of the best additions were the books we now have in Spanish, like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dragons Love Tacos, and the Creepy Crayon. Our students check these out to read with their parents, to work on Spanish as a second language, or to simply enjoy a good story written in their first language.
