My second graders could hardly wait to dive in, and we immediately used the crayons, markers, and paper to create colorful posters about pollinators and why they are so important to protect. These resources transformed an ELA lesson into an art-filled, hands-on project that made learning both fun and memorable.\r\n\r\nThe best part is that this is just the beginning. The crayons, markers, and art materials will continue to support future projects across subjects, whether it's illustrating a story in reading, designing visuals to show their thinking in math, or making posters for science and social studies.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, my students are equipped to learn, create, and shine in new ways!","fullyFundedDate":1746586326029,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-success/9199387/","projectTitle":"Supplies for Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gonzalez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9633976"},{"teacherId":7445438,"projectId":8817140,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support! As soon as my kindergarteners saw the new materials—like the pom poms, tweezers, lacing keys, and alphabet mystery box—their faces lit up with excitement. One student shouted, \"We get to play with these?!\" and immediately asked to try the tweezers to pick up pom poms. That moment set the tone for a joyful, hands-on learning experience. These tools have made our morning centers more engaging and interactive. Students are strengthening their fine motor skills while practicing counting, letter sounds, and sequencing—all through playful, purposeful activities.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite projects so far has been our \"Letter Sound Scavenger Hunt\" using the Alphabet Mystery Box. Students take turns pulling out items that start with a specific letter sound and then use sentence frames to describe what they found. It's been incredible to see them work together, problem-solve, and gain confidence in both their language and motor skills. The tweezers and counting keys have become a huge hit in our math center, helping students build one-to-one correspondence and number sense.\r\n\r\nNext, we're building on these skills by creating themed fine motor stations that rotate weekly. For example, students will soon use the lacing keys to build CVC words and the sequence stackers to recreate patterns and tell short stories. These activities will continue to support their independence and creativity while reinforcing foundational literacy and math concepts. Your donation made it possible for us to purchase much-needed supplies such as paints, canvases, and crafting materials—tools that have not only enhanced our students' creative expression but also fostered confidence, collaboration, and joy. With your help, we've been able to transform a small after-school gathering into a vibrant, inclusive space where students feel empowered to explore their artistic voices.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful outcomes has been seeing students who were previously shy or disengaged come to life through their artwork. Several students have even expressed interest in pursuing careers in art and design—something they hadn't considered before. None of this would have been possible without your kindness and belief in the power of creativity. The storage bins, caddies, and magnetic paper pockets have made such a positive impact on our learning environment.\r\n\r\nWith the new bins, I've been able to color-coordinate our phonics, math, science, and social studies centers, making materials so much easier for my students to find and use. The caddies at each table have been a game-changer, keeping supplies neatly organized and helping my students stay focused during activities. The magnetic paper pockets have also been a huge hit, allowing students to independently grab their worksheets and take responsibility for their learning.\r\n\r\nIt's amazing to see how these simple tools have created a more structured and efficient classroom. My students are showing more independence, responsibility, and enthusiasm as they engage in their centers. These materials have truly elevated their learning experience and fostered a sense of pride in their work.\r\n\r\nI'm so grateful for your generosity and for believing in our classroom.
