Several of the materials in this project were classroom supplies that replaced either missing, broken, or just used up items in the classroom. The students and I were all happy to receive materials such as pencils, markers, and other materials support learning. Our sharpener needed to be replaced, and the students needed more markers and pencils for daily use. Learning takes place smoothly when all students are prepared with their whiteboards and markers as well as when pencils are easily accessible.\r\n\r\nOn another note, the snacks, stickers, and rewards have been organized in our classroom student store, and the students have been excited to earn such treats with their classroom money. This has been a great way to incentivize responsibility and effort. The excitement for the student store has definitely contributed to creating a fun and safe classroom environment. By the end of this school year, my students will have taken the California Science Test, and now is the time for us to really prepare for it. The materials in this project have greatly supplemented my science instruction, and students have been benefiting from the posters/anchor charts. The goal is for them to really internalize the information, and they are headed in that direction as we get closer to testing season. \r\n\r\nOn another note, my students will also be completing a state report project, and we are learning more about U.S. history and geography. The posters we received from this project have helped the students familiarize with the states, and we are all excited to be learning more and engaging in the upcoming projects. \r\n\r\nAs always, my students are always excited when they see new posters in our classroom, and I am confident that they will benefit from being able to refer to them as they continue to learn. In addition, I myself am extremely grateful that I can continue to utilize these posters for future classes.
