Each child now has their own designated space, and that sense of personal ownership has done wonders for their confidence. They feel seen. They feel like they belong. When someone is absent, it's immediately noticeable — not in a disruptive way, but because their apple is empty, a quiet reminder that every single student matters in our classroom community.\r\n\r\nThe carpet has also created a safer and more inclusive environment. For many of my students, school is their safe haven — a place where they can count on routine, kindness, and care. Having their own spot gives them a sense of stability and predictability, which is especially important for young learners. It reduces conflicts over seating, promotes personal space, and helps them focus during group activities like story time or class discussions.\r\n\r\nI wish you could see the joy and pride on their faces as they walk into the room and head straight for their apple. The ice-cream counting set has made practicing numbers so much fun! Since TK has a hands-on, creative curriculum, the ice cream set has been a perfect addition to our dramatic play interest area. Students can now serve ice cream with corresponding scoops while learning how to count, add, and subtract. Lastly, with the new magnetic tiles, all students now have access to them, allowing for collaborative building and exploration of shapes, symmetry, and balance.
