We appreciate you taking an interest in helping out our classrooms and clubs! \r\n\r\nSo far, they have been challenged to be engineers and to build a tower as a team. They worked together to see which group can build the tallest tower. They learned to take turns, strategize, and build the best they could. They were also using the Legos to create locations/scenery such as a house, a building, flowers and even, a portal! \r\n\r\nI love how a sense of peace and unity comes around when working with legos. It is like they are so focused on turning their ideas into real life that they just zone in. They help each other find certain pieces or lend a hand on helping their friend fix a planning detail. Haha. I love that they become a team even if they are building something totally different. \r\n\r\nThe students were excited to have more legos. We were limited last year so this year we started off ready to go with your donations. It is nice to give so many students the chance to become an engineer, teacher, and planner. Not only are legos fun, but legos are helping them to communicate with one another while expanding their vocabulary. \r\n\r\nThey are the perfect tool for schools. Thank you again for your donations. They are hoping their names are chosen to come up and share their various strategies used to solve their math problems. The fact that they are eager to come up and talk about the steps they used to solve a math problem is a important part in the learning process. \r\n\r\n Students get a different perspective into a more efficient way to get an answer. The feature of an adjustable platform allows all students a comfortable way to participate in a classroom discussion. Additionally, it allows students to respectfully explain and defend their work. \r\n\r\nStudents see a different perspective of the strategies used. Hopefully providing a strategy that allows them a different means to and end. We very much appreciate your contribution to our students. My students are loving their new Numberblocks items!!! They group them together to add, they sing the songs while connecting the cubes together, they act out episodes with the characters, and it does not stop there!! As you can see in the photos, the happiness has spread to art and writing! They not only love to do math with them, but they enjoy writing about them as well! \r\n\r\nThey were and still are super excited to use the toys, cubes, and cards! Those are always the first items to get chosen during free time. The energy has not died down by any means! \r\n\r\nWe will continue to use them for math, art, writing, and entertainment!! Once I saw that they were interested, I knew I had to find a way to buy items for our class and your generous donation made that happen!
