They were very excited to see that there were items they could build with, create with, and use with their friends.\r\n\r\nAs they use the materials, particularly the bristle blocks, it really helps support their social skill development. Students need to talk and collaborate with each other. They must also negotiate taking turns. I was able to replace some of my older broken wobble chairs with brand new ones, and it has made such a difference! I can now fit 8 students at a time around my kidney shaped table without fear of any students falling over and hurting themselves on the older, broken chairs. \r\nThe students have been so excited to use these! They are very sturdy, and my students always want to get to the table first so they can sit on the new ones. In fact, when it's time to choose students to go sit at the table, they get ready faster and sit quietly in hopes of being one of the first students picked!😊\r\nIn addition, having the new chairs has allowed me to continue pulling small groups to work on certain skills, or have my aide pull a small group that needs more attention during direct instruction. Regular class chairs don't allow more than 5 students to sit at the table, so the wobble chairs make it easier to help more students at any particular time. The donation have truly helped my students, and your generosity is very much appreciated!
