Social emotional learning has become a major component in academic curriculum. It is important to know what social emotional learning is and how to implement it. Social emotional learning is the process where individuals develop the skills to manage their emotions, establish positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. In today's children we have seen an increase in the lack of impulse control and emotional regulation. That is where social emotional learning comes in. \r\n\r\nWith the materials requested from this project, my students have been able to engage in structured play and activities that allow them to learn skills like teamwork and patience. They have been able to engage in activities that teach them the skills they need to focus on impulse control and emotional outburst when things don't go their way. Thank you for the support you all have poured into my students' success.","fullyFundedDate":1755120425442,"projectUrl":"project/emotional-regulation/9531686/","projectTitle":"Emotional Regulation","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bonner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10099621"},{"teacherId":10099621,"projectId":9529726,"letterContent":"Many of our students have technology in the classroom. This would allow my students to take their creativity on the go throughout the classroom and campus. \r\n\r\nMany of my students have shown interest in music production as well as architecture and creating things. They have been able to take the tablet during class to work class projects. They were recently able to use the tablet to take pictures of their peers for their history project titled 'Documenting My America'. They have also been able to use the tablet for taking their brain breaks away from the computer in the Zen zone of the room. My kids have loved utilizing the new tablet to expand their creative minds.","fullyFundedDate":1754998376381,"projectUrl":"project/innovative-engineering/9529726/","projectTitle":"Innovative Engineering","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bonner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10099621"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_7771","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":364,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":46,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":48,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"18.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.6,"schoolId":7771,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Kelso Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Kelso Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/inglewood-unified-school-district/kelso-elementary-school/7771"}
