Because of your generosity, Circle of Friends students were able to experience meaningful moments of creativity, connection, and inclusion that truly made a difference in our classroom community. The art supplies you donated, including the classroom art supplies, acrylic paint pens, river rocks and bracelet kits, quickly became tools for much more than art. Students eagerly gathered around the tables to use the art supplies and design posters for Kindness Week. As they worked, I watched the students of all abilities collaborate, encourage one another, and celebrate each other's ideas. These simple materials opened the door to conversations, teamwork, and genuine friendships. \r\n One of the most meaningful moments for me was seeing students who are often quiet or hesitant light up with confidence as they shared their art with the group. While making kindness posters together, students practiced taking turns, offering compliments, and helping one another. These activities helped them build empathy and communication skills in a natural and joyful way. We are very excited to start creating a special art project for Teacher Appreciation Week using the river rocks.\r\n Circle of Friends is about belonging, and your support made that possible. Your donations helped students feel seen, included, and proud of who they are. You didn't just provide art supplies, you helped create a safe space where friendships could flourish and every child felt valued. Thank you so much for believing in our students and for helping us build a classroom full of creativity, confidence, and connection. We are deeply grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1767361835106,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-stronger-friendships-connec/9952203/","projectTitle":"Supplies for Stronger Friendships Connections","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Villa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9745418"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_40669","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":530,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":68,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":84,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"18.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.3,"schoolId":40669,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Richard Bard Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Richard Bard Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/hueneme-elementary-school-district/richard-bard-elementary-school/40669"}
