The headphones help them tune out distractions and really focus on their work, whether they are listening to directions, using read-aloud features, or completing online assessments on their Chromebooks. Many of my students were especially excited to receive their own headphones. It gave them a sense of responsibility and pride, and they were eager to use them right away. I've seen students who often struggle with attention or feel overwhelmed become calmer and more confident when working independently, because they can hear clearly and work at their own pace. For some, the headphones have made learning feel less stressful and more accessible. Your kindness has had a direct and personal impact on my students, helping them feel supported, capable, and ready to succeed each day.","fullyFundedDate":1762266250033,"projectUrl":"project/equipped-to-excel-headphones-for-chrome/9706742/","projectTitle":"Equipped to Excel: Headphones for Chromebooks and Assessments","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Matugas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9722790_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755049862941","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9722790"},{"teacherId":10093119,"projectId":9943966,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, my Transitional Kindergarten students are now learning through hands-on STEM and art experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence every single day.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the new materials during small-group centers, exploration time, and guided projects. One favorite moment was when students worked together to build simple structures and create art inspired by what they built. As they experimented, I heard them saying things like \"Look what I made!\" and \"I fixed it!\"—powerful words that show problem-solving, persistence, and pride in their work.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were absolutely thrilled. Their eyes lit up as they explored the textures, colors, and tools. Many of them couldn't wait to get started and carefully asked questions about how the materials worked. It was especially meaningful to see students who are usually quiet or hesitant jump right in and fully engage.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, our next steps include deeper STEM exploration and creative design projects. Students will continue building, testing ideas, and expressing their thinking through art while strengthening fine motor skills, collaboration, and early engineering concepts. These resources are helping lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.\r\n\r\nYour kindness truly brought learning to life in our classroom.
