Having access to sheet protectors allowed me to preserve and reuse instructional materials aligned to each student's academic goals. As a special education teacher, differentiation is not optional—it is essential. Because of this project, I was able to create durable, individualized learning packets that students can use repeatedly for targeted reading practice, math fluency drills, writing supports, and skill-based activities.\r\n\r\nThe sheet protectors have made it possible for students to use dry-erase markers to practice skills multiple times without wasting paper. This has been especially helpful for repetition and mastery—something many of my students need. It has also helped keep materials organized, clean, and accessible, which supports executive functioning and independence in the classroom.\r\n\r\nThe materials strengthened the connection between school and home by allowing me to send home structured, protected packets that families can use for consistent practice. Students felt proud having organized, professional-looking materials with their names on them. It built confidence and ownership over their learning.\r\n\r\nBecause of the sheet protectors provided, I was able to focus more on instruction and hands-on practice rather than constantly reprinting worn-out materials. I could respond quickly to student needs, adjust lessons, and provide repeated practice opportunities without worrying about materials being damaged.","fullyFundedDate":1731940407601,"projectUrl":"project/fun-with-reusable-sheet/8529918/","projectTitle":"Fun With Reusable Sheet","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Kelly","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9018105_orig.jpg?crop=288,288,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1709668152090","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9018105"},{"teacherId":9018105,"projectId":8539887,"letterContent":"Our new printing paper has truly been a game changer in our classroom. It has allowed me to create individualized homework packets tailored to each of my students' specific learning needs. As a special education teacher, differentiation is essential, and having an adequate supply of printing paper ensures that every student receives meaningful practice aligned to their goals.\r\nOne special moment was watching my students help organize their personalized homework folders. They were excited to see their names on the packets and took pride in knowing the work was created just for them. It helped them feel important, capable, and supported. For many of my students, consistent practice at home strengthens the connection between school and family, and this resource has made that possible.\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were excited simply because they knew it meant more learning tools and more activities prepared just for them. They may not always see paper as something special, but in our classroom, it represents opportunity—worksheets for reading practice, math fluency sheets, writing prompts, and hands-on activities.\r\nNext steps for our classroom include continuing to build customized homework and skill-building packets that align with each student's IEP goals. We are currently focusing on reading comprehension, math fact fluency, and sentence writing. With the continued support of these materials, I can maintain consistent communication between home and school and ensure that learning extends beyond the classroom walls.\r\nThank you for giving our students the tools they need to grow, practice, and succeed.
