Your generosity is making a meaningful difference in how my students learn about the Constitution, civic engagement, and their role in our democracy.\r\n\r\nWe are using these resources to build constitutional literacy and help students understand that the Constitution is more than a historical document—it continues to shape their rights, responsibilities, and participation in our government. One of the most exciting parts of this project is that the stamps and envelopes will allow students to take their learning beyond the classroom. Students will have the opportunity to write letters to their elected officials about issues that matter to them, giving them an authentic way to practice civic engagement and make their voices heard.\r\n\r\nWhen I first distributed the materials, there was a collective sigh of relief from my students. At a low-income school, I know that asking students to purchase additional classroom supplies can sometimes create an unnecessary financial burden. My students were genuinely relieved that they did not have to figure out how they would purchase these materials themselves. That moment reminded me just how important equitable access to classroom resources is.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to connect what students are learning about the Constitution to real-world civic participation. They will use their knowledge of constitutional principles and government to develop their own perspectives, write to their elected officials, and experience firsthand what it means to participate in our democracy.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make these experiences possible. Your generosity is not only providing classroom materials—it is giving my students the opportunity to find their voices, understand their rights, and see themselves as active participants in our democracy.","fullyFundedDate":1783343284979,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-students-through-civic-educat/10292929/","projectTitle":"Empowering Students Through Civic Education","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Howard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9059120_orig.jpg?crop=1206,1205,x0,y611&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1684966904830","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mshowardsclassroom"},{"teacherId":10104936,"projectId":9522857,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting my classroom and helping create a welcoming and engaging learning environment for my students. The bulletin boards and bulletin board paper rolls have helped transform our classroom into a space that feels organized, inviting, and focused on learning. Thoughtfully decorated boards allow me to display student work, important information, science concepts, and classroom reminders. A positive classroom environment helps students feel comfortable and excited to participate in their learning each day.\r\n\r\nThe glue sticks have also played an important role in helping students maintain organized science notebooks. Students use them to attach diagrams, activities, notes, and other important materials to their notebooks. Keeping their notebooks organized gives students a valuable resource they can use to review lessons, study for assessments, and track their learning throughout the school year. This simple resource supports organization and encourages students to take ownership of their work.\r\n\r\nThe stickers have been a fun and meaningful way to recognize student effort, participation, and perseverance. Using stickers as small prizes helps encourage students to stay engaged, participate in activities, and continue working through challenging content. These rewards provide positive reinforcement and help create a classroom culture where students feel their hard work is noticed and appreciated. Together, these resources have helped create a classroom where students feel motivated, supported, and proud of their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1754966256165,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-decor/9522857/","projectTitle":"Classroom Decor","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Arteaga","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10104936"},{"teacherId":10398627,"projectId":9989550,"letterContent":"My student have been extremely grateful for the support of strangers. Furthermore, it makes storing the balls much easier as well, since the carts have wheels to that make them easily maneuverable. Your support reminds our athletes that their hard work is recognized and valued by the community, and for that, we are incredibly thankful.\r\n\r\nWhen the players saw the ball carts they were very surprised and excited to have this helpful piece of equipment.
