We loved introducing the new toys to our little ones. We were able to introduce new items weekly so that we could show the items to students (as not to overwhelm with too many) and provide visuals to support choices. The students really enjoyed all of the cause and effect items (especially the hammer and balls). We were able to work on taking turns, using language, and waiting. \r\nThe addition of pretend play items were perfect in our kitchen area. The magnetic ice cream with scoopers enhanced our play time and allowed students to engage with others in highly preferred activities. I can't begin to tell you how excited I was as this was something very close to my heart as it touched upon the many interests of my current students! Pictures don't express enough the joy and excitement that filled up our room when we brought out the items. We have a doctor's office that students line up to visit complete with a waiting room. We also have a dessert area in our kitchen where our students get to decorate pretend cupcakes. Our light table center has attracted our future engineers as they create roads and buildings. We even added magnetic robots for one of our students who loves to create patterns and designs. The opportunities you provided have been endless.
