When I pulled out the volleyballs and basketballs, they cheered. My class loves to play and learn how to play different sports. They even call themselves the \"Sporty Gators\". (Gators are our mascot.) They were so excited to use the equipment. Having all of this equipment allows the students to practice skills specific to that sport. For example, dribbling, passing and shooting baskets for basketball. These sports help them develop their gross motor skills as well as teamwork skills.\r\n\r\nAbout six students my class already know how to play basketball well, so they are the leaders. The leaders each have 5-6 students in their group. They are teaching the other students the different skills. It is so wonderful to see how they learn from one another.\r\n\r\nWe are currently learning basketball skills and the next sport will be volleyball.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for giving such joy to my students.","fullyFundedDate":1767213240554,"projectUrl":"project/sports-equipment-for-pe/9672139/","projectTitle":"Sports Equipment for P.E.","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Herz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5658355_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1533954258469","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5658355"},{"teacherId":10185241,"projectId":9616934,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for supporting our classroom project! My students, particularly those in my preschool and life skills classes, absolutely love the new materials. These resources have been instrumental in our daily routine, acting as a crucial bridge for developing foundational fine motor skills necessary for handwriting, while also helping students formulate phrases and simple sentences. It is truly magical to see them engaging in purposeful play, modeling language, and diving into early literacy through the visual supports and wonderful book accompaniments for storytelling.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided more than just toys; you have given my students tools that spark joy and foundational learning in colors, shapes, and early literacy. The hands-on nature of these items helps boost their confidence, allowing them to engage in meaningful, developmentally appropriate tasks that strengthen their speech and language amongst other skills. We are so grateful for your belief in our students' potential, and you have made a lasting impact on their educational journey by creating a warm, engaging space where they can thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1765398842639,"projectUrl":"project/speech-and-language-therapy-with-ms-won/9616934/","projectTitle":"Speech and Language Therapy with Ms. Wong","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wong","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10185241"},{"teacherId":2731986,"projectId":9641838,"letterContent":"With much gratitude, I am able to teach my students about the importance of growing food, such as herbs to start. They are learning the science of growing...that following the seasons of growing is important for food and their germination based on temperature. My students absolutely love that they, themselves can grow food and not just buy it at the store. They were thrilled to see that they each received their own planting tray to sew, monitor, and water. They further have asked me many times when they can go \"take care\" of their seeds. \r\nTheir learning experience so far has been imperative to respecting nature, the food systems, and caring for all things that grow. In juxtaposition with sewing, students are learning gratitude and the importance of food and nutrition with regards to our planet and our connectedness.","fullyFundedDate":1758129490395,"projectUrl":"project/cultivating-green-thumbs-for-a-greener-f/9641838/","projectTitle":"Cultivating Green Thumbs for a Greener future","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sanchez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2731986_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1657729238523","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2731986"},{"teacherId":2973096,"projectId":9466378,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support in helping me purchase math resources through TPT.
