Your support has helped foster my students intrinsic value in their work. For example, the drying rack has enabled our students to see how their hard work is valued. Students are able to take their finished products home after they has fully dried and assembled. Parents have also commented on how their child is showing an increase in pride in their work. \r\n\r\nMy students are also improving their fine motor skills using the transformer robots and play dough scissors. Their writing stamina has increased greatly and this is directly related to the use of age appropriate toys that are both engaging and sturdy for little hands to develop the muscles needed for writing.\r\n\r\nThere is an infinite amount of skills my students are gaining from you donations. Thank you for being a part of their growth and development.","fullyFundedDate":1755613400879,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning-needs-for-early-litera/9368042/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Learning Needs for Early Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dzerigian","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4346715_orig.png?crop=1049,1050,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722560201282","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4346715"},{"teacherId":9628858,"projectId":9316782,"letterContent":"Our class now has some wonderful books that allow us to explore learning about our emotions and how to connect to others with kindness and empathy. I was thrilled to see my request was filled and quickly began planning projects to be able to utilize the drying rack. Until receiving the art rack, I was unable to do as many art projects as I would have liked to due to limited drying space and counter tops. \r\nOnce the drying rack was delivered to my classroom, the students were curious about what it would be used for. I was able to show them a demonstration of how we would now be able to complete more projects because our papers would have a place to dry. Since receiving the rack, we were able to do multiple art projects per week from letter of the week cut/paste crafts to sight word painting projects. It has made a huge difference in the function and organization of my classroom and the students have benefited immensely from additional opportunities to produce art projects. Students are building their vocabulary. They are constantly asking for the name of parts of a helicopter and castles. Even parents are noticing the degree of interest in our new toys. The smile rug donated was a complete exercise in joy. Delivery was made during class hours so the students were able to participate in what it meant to be given such a special item- just for them. It really does mean so much to us to be provided this area rug. \r\n\r\nThe stem activities...there is so much learning that occurs from critical thinking, right at their level. They set out right away to see how the parts worked and began experimenting. The chain reaction stem kit and science activities provide them with new and creative ways to explore how the world around them works. As a teacher I am thrilled to see these little minds at work, and the joy that comes from discovery, starting again, reconfiguring, progress, success!
