Your belief in our classroom and our students is truly inspiring, and your generosity means more to us than words can say. These new resources will make a significant impact on our daily activities and help create a more engaging and colorful learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe students' excitement when the boxes arrived was contagious. They have already started using the new colored pencils for art projects and creating colorful math notes, bringing their ideas to life in vibrant detail. The UNO card game has become a favorite during our free time and lunch, fostering friendly competition and teaching valuable social skills like turn-taking and sportsmanship. These simple but impactful tools are helping to build a stronger sense of community in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe gift cards for Teachers Pay Teachers are a gift that keeps on giving. These gift cards will allow for the purchase of high-quality, specialized resources to supplement the curriculum and meet the diverse learning needs of my students. I got a new document camera at the end of the school year last year because of all the generous donations from all of you. I had a working camera before, but this one is much more amazing! I love giving guided notes with color coding. You'll see in the pictures I attach how much easier it is for students to see the color differences with this new camera. \r\n\r\nAnother great thing I love about this new camera is its ability to zoom. It has a turning dial style knob on it that allows me to hyper zoom. It'll show the dots that make up printed letters. Also, it has a really great focus ability. I can zoom in or out depending on what I need to show the students and it is crystal clear and very fast. \r\n\r\nThis camera is also integrated into the computer with the software it came with. This means I can use other means of communication, like a digital whiteboard, or I can draw and highlight images that I'm projecting with the camera.\r\n\r\nThis camera has a built in video recording, image capture and voice recording function. \r\nI am going to have to learn how to use the functions properly, but I feel like I'll find their use.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for helping me get this camera. Its an amazing addition to my classroom. My classroom faces a bright courtyard, and the sun sometimes makes my screen hard to see. This camera has a built in light which comes in handy when I show students the lcd color screen on my graphing calculator. The brightness controls of the camera lens are fantastic as well. I can easily adjust through out the day for varying amounts of light. \r\n\r\nHigh school has a lot of guided notes for students in mathematics. Algebra 1, Geometry and Calculus are what I'm teaching this year. This camera is utilized so much everyday and will continue to be used for many years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1743026179135,"projectUrl":"project/new-document-camera/9205675/","projectTitle":"New Document Camera","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Zika","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9681330"},{"teacherId":307970,"projectId":9285905,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing new equipment to the students at my school. We recently finished Educated by Tara Westover and it was a huge hit with the majority of my students. \r\n\r\nMy kids found the story of Westover really inspirational and it did capture their interest, which is increasingly difficult to do in our all digital, phone-centric age. We listened to the audiobook, had book groups, and engaged in some pretty spectacular Socratic Seminars centered on Educated. We explored the concepts of memory and what it really and truly means to be educated as well as the different ways a person can be educated. The students learned about Ruby Ridge, Y2K, and 9.11. There was a load of excellent vocabulary acquired during the course of reading as well. It was a great experience. \r\n\r\nWe haven't yet started the other new text that your donation helped purchase, but I am sure it will be just as well-received by my seniors.
