The materials which we received are giving my young students a way to express their feelings while they are at school. They all have their own Feelings Journals that they can write in when ever they want. Having an icon to circle is a great way to get them started on their writing. Next they draw a picture to reflect how they feel and dictate what their picture is all about.\r\n\r\nEach student also picked out a multi-cultural body cut-out to use to make their own mini-me. They all came out so cute. Each one reflects the the unique personality of the student who made it. They are clean, sturdy, and spacious, giving our students the room they need to explore, collaborate, and experiment. The smooth surfaces are perfect for lab work, easy to clean, and help maintain a professional, organized setting for learning.\r\n\r\nWe are currently learning how to code Ozobots, and these tables give the students plenty of space to run their programs. Additionally, the smooth surface of the tables makes it much easier to work with the Ozobots (tiny Ozobot wheels don't do well on textured surfaces).\r\n\r\nMore than just furniture, these tables represent an investment in hands-on education. They had so much fun designing and painting their own book bags. They also enjoyed using the new neon, glow in the dark and glittery fabric paints for the first time.\r\n\r\nWe filled the book bags with bilingual books for students to read over the summer with their parents. We also put their writing journals inside so students can continue to draw pictures, dictate stories and practice writing their names. Also bubbles, a sketch pad and a squishy stress ball were added inside.The last item we placed in their book bags was a pair of rainbow sunglasses since their futures are so bright that they need to wear shades!
