These backpacks were spawned out of a need to integrate socioemotional learning into our students' daily lives outside the classroom. This story significantly peaked students interest in reading. We decided to read this novel for the month of October and we are happy to report that we are about to finish the story this week. \r\n\r\nWe make sure to set aside 15 to 20 minutes a day to come together as a classroom and read the novel. Sometimes it is teacher guided, but most of the time it is student guided with the class taking turns to read aloud the chapters to each other. We have had great teamwork and participation.\r\n\r\nI think most importantly, we have seen a love for reading skyrocket in our class by reading Coraline. Thank you so much for making this opportunity happen for our class through your donations. We are very grateful and happy for the activities to come next with the novel such as a movie day and an AR quiz.","fullyFundedDate":1753978833780,"projectUrl":"project/unlocking-imagination-with-coraline/9514432/","projectTitle":"Unlocking Imagination With Coraline","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Amezquita","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8498034_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1655184895256","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8498034"},{"teacherId":9783157,"projectId":9099906,"letterContent":"The school year has finally begun and our readers have never been more excited to begin checking out nonfiction titles.
