The book serves as a window and a mirror into their own lived experiences. They all reference the novel as one of their favorites that we read in 10th grade English. They loved the complexity of the characters, learning about the historical contexts, and having deep discussions with their peers about the issues explored in the text.\r\n\r\nWith physical copies of books, students are much more able to immerse themselves in a story. Reading on their Chromebooks, they are easily distracted by the multitude of worlds contained in the internet. Physical books illuminate distractions, benefit screen-exhausted eyeballs, and feel cozy. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your donation towards my project.
