They love using the jumbo crayons on a daily basis. I love that the jumbo crayons don't break as easily as the regular sized crayons! My students use crayons every day and having 16 colors to use allows for more creativity. The \"Colors of the World\" crayons make drawing people look more realistic and my students get excited when their drawings look like the people they represent. The dot markers are an added bonus when it comes to art. Students engage with their work and focus more carefully than ever. It's an exciting way to develop much needed fine motor skills. The kitchen play set is a very popular choice for students using the kitchen. They sometimes sort the pieces by color and find food in the same colors to put on the plates. The Tub of Vehicles is a hit, too. Students play with the vehicles individually, and they love to link them together like a train. The Around Town Vehicle Set is loads of fun, too. The ones that didn't recognize letters really reacted very enthusiastically to the colored alphabet. I had 14 students that couldn't identify all 26 letters and now I have 2. What a change!! This celebrations is due to the little colored letter mats. \r\n As far as the students that know letters and use them for sounds, they can put sounds together now and blend common cvc words. The unifix cubes that allow them to blend and say words are phenomenal! I used to have 6 students at or above grade level and now I have 15 there. Other teachers see my results and ask where I got these cubes. \r\n I have nothing but great things to say about our project that you funded. You truly made an impact on students' lives by contributing and I look forward to their continued growth thanks to your kindness.
