These wobble stools have benefitted our classroom in ways that I could not have anticipated. \r\n For those students who can not sit still, the stools have helped them to maintain focus while working at their desks. Indeed, they have also helped students to feel as though they are seen and understood; they know that there are people actively trying to help them do their best. Their confidence has increased as they are more comfortable.\r\n For those who did not have problems sitting at their desks, it has given them the opportunity to try these tools and decide for themselves if t is helpful to them. Perhaps more importantly, having to understand that others needs may be a hgher priority than their own, learning to wait their turn to use the stools, and learning to use these tools properly without causing distraction to others have been instrumental life lessons. Those students have developed more empathy or their peers whose needs are higher, andthey have been more patient with those students who struggle with the impulse to move.","fullyFundedDate":1746496405577,"projectUrl":"project/wobble-stools-help-wiggle-worms-learn/9101041/","projectTitle":"Wobble Stools Help Wiggle-Worms Learn!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hunter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9917415_orig.jpg?crop=988,988,x0,y6&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1738857986683","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9917415"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_41060","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":568,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":17,"percentAsian":29,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":39,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"28.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":84.4,"schoolId":41060,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Pioneer Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Pioneer Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/davis-joint-unified-school-district/pioneer-elementary-school/41060"}
