Your generosity has had an immediate and meaningful impact on how my students learn, participate, and share their thinking every day.\r\n\r\nThe markers you helped fund are now a regular part of our lessons. Students use them to write directly on their desks or whiteboards during warm-ups, problem-solving activities, group discussions, and quick checks for understanding. Instead of just a few students raising their hands, every student is able to show their thinking at the same time. This has completely changed the energy in the room: participation is higher, discussions are richer, and students feel more confident taking academic risks.\r\n\r\nOne of the most powerful changes I have seen is in students who are usually hesitant to speak up. With a marker in hand, they can write their ideas without the pressure of being \"right\" out loud. I have watched students revise their work, ask thoughtful questions, and explain their reasoning to classmates simply because they felt safe sharing what they wrote. During group activities, students naturally lean in, compare answers, and talk through mistakes together, learning from each other in real time.\r\n\r\nThere have been moments when I stepped back and watched the entire class actively engaged, every desk covered in work, every student involved. Those moments are a direct result of your support. These markers may seem like a simple tool, but they have helped create a classroom culture where every voice matters and every student is encouraged to think critically and participate fully.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and investing in their learning experience. Your generosity has made our classroom more interactive, inclusive, and student-centered, and the impact will continue well beyond this school year.","fullyFundedDate":1763566791948,"projectUrl":"project/math-on-the-move-empowering-students-w/9851784/","projectTitle":"Math on the Move – Empowering Students with Writable Spaces","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Walker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3950997_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1475085008253","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3950997"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_36282","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1004,"numTeachers":55,"percentFrplEligible":19,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":54,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":27,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"18.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":36282,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Coronado High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Coronado High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/coronado-unified-school-district/coronado-high-school/36282"}
