We now use the materials every Friday, and it has quickly become one of the students' favorite parts of the week. When I brought out the first few items, their excitement was immediate—eyes widened, hands shot up, and they could hardly wait to get started. They eagerly split into groups and explored each of the different materials, and it was amazing to watch how naturally they collaborated, experimented, and shared ideas.\r\n\r\nSince then, the STEM bins have continued to be a wonderful addition to our routine. The students are building, creating, problem-solving, and challenging themselves in ways that are both joyful and meaningful. It has been incredible to see how confident and imaginative they become when given the opportunity to explore hands-on materials. Their joy at getting to use the items has been immense, and their conversations during STEM time are filled with curiosity and discovery.\r\n\r\nWe plan to continue using this equipment throughout the year, and I know it will have a lasting impact on their learning. Thank you again for your generosity and for supporting our classroom. You have truly helped create an environment where students feel inspired to learn and excited to grow.","fullyFundedDate":1759953542727,"projectUrl":"project/building-tomorrows-innovators-with-stem/9766776/","projectTitle":"Building Tomorrow’s Innovators with STEM!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Martindale","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2706656_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1524759882799","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2706656"},{"teacherId":2706656,"projectId":9614190,"letterContent":"I want to thank you so much for contributing to my Donors Choose project for flexible seating in my second grade classroom. As of today, we have put almost all the pieces into place and today was our first day where the kids got to come in and make their own choices as to where they will sit. \r\nMy students have been so excited to use the flexible seating options. As we rolled out different seating over the last 2 weeks, they were eager to try different options to see what works best for them and their learning. Students have the option to sit next to friends, knowing that there will be consequences for not being responsible for their choices. \r\nI am currently waiting for my custodian to find room to take a few student desks out of the classroom to make way for the 2 tall bar tables. I know that some of my students, particularly the ones that like standing to work, will enjoy those choices as well.","fullyFundedDate":1756938047154,"projectUrl":"project/help-our-second-grade-get-flexible-seati/9614190/","projectTitle":"Help Our Second Grade Get Flexible Seating Options!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Martindale","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2706656_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1524759882799","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2706656"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_68319","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":692,"numTeachers":31,"percentFrplEligible":71,"percentAsian":11,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":32,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":47,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"22.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":83.8,"schoolId":68319,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ben Franklin Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Ben Franklin Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/corona-norco-unified-school-district/ben-franklin-elementary-school/68319"}
