While our original quest to launch the first-ever world mythology elective at our school took a turn that even the Fates couldn't predict, the idea is far from gone. There's still a promising chance that it may be added next school year — our new principal is very enthusiastic about it — but in the meantime, we've transformed the idea into the new Myths & Legends Club. 🐲🦄⚔️\r\n\r\nI currently host club meetings in my room during two lunches each week. Our 8th-grade group is working on becoming dragon loremasters, exploring legends from cultures around the world, from Ryujin to Quetzalcoatl to Bakunawa and beyond. Our 6th graders are diving into the world of Greek mythology and are eager to learn more about the gods and goddesses, heroes, and magical creatures of Ancient Greece.\r\n\r\nBoth groups are already thinking of creative ways to share what they've learned with the wider school community, and I'm excited to see what their mythic imaginations come up with next.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting this adventure.
