With multiple copies, we used them in small group guided reading and close reading lessons. This allowed me to tailor instruction to different reading levels while still giving students the joy of sharing the same story together. One 6th grader told me, \"I feel like I understand the books better now because we read them together and talk about them.\"\r\n\r\nThe Mr. Lemoncello's Library series quickly became a classroom favorite. Students were thrilled by the adventures and even more so because their teacher's name is Ms. Lemon! As one 4th grader said, \"It feels like we're part of the story too!\" For many reluctant readers, this series became their hook. A 5th grader proudly shared, \"I never liked reading before, but now I can't wait to find out what happens next.\" Another asked, \"'Can my mom take me to the library so I can get more books like these?\"\r\n\r\nEven as the school year ended, the momentum carried into summer school, where I used the book during our read-aloud time. Students were thrilled. Because these books are now part of our permanent classroom library, countless future students will also benefit.\r\n\r\nYour support didn't just provide books - it inspired lifelong readers.","fullyFundedDate":1744232272405,"projectUrl":"project/cool-kids-read-books/9228400/","projectTitle":"Cool Kids Read Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lemon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8305755_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743704672374","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8305755"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_25582","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":568,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":69,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":10,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":78,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"19.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.3,"schoolId":25582,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cedargrove Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cedargrove Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/charter-oak-unified-school-district/cedargrove-elementary-school/25582"}
