Middle school is a crucial time for development, both physically and socially. Having access to outdoor equipment like basketballs and soccer balls allows our students to step away from screens, engage in physical activity, and build friendships in a way that only play can provide. For many of them, recess and after-school activities are their primary opportunities to relieve stress, build teamwork skills, and develop healthy habits that will stay with them for life. The simple act of kicking a soccer ball around or playing a game of basketball fosters collaboration, confidence, and a sense of belonging, all of which are essential at this stage of their lives.\r\n\r\nBeyond just play, this equipment has opened doors for students who may not have had the resources to practice sports outside of school. Some used the basketballs to prepare for team tryouts, gaining the skills and self-assurance needed to take that leap. Others found themselves drawn into games they might have otherwise avoided, making new friends and discovering new talents along the way. Because of you, our students are running, playing, laughing, and growing—learning lessons in perseverance, teamwork, and self-confidence without even realizing it. Your support has helped create a space where they can be active, feel included, and, most importantly, just be kids. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference in their lives.","fullyFundedDate":1732485675778,"projectUrl":"project/after-school-outside-enrichment/8931924/","projectTitle":"After School Outside Enrichment","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Zoe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9830980_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731138818311","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9830980"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_25976","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":691,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":77,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":15,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":65,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"19.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":25976,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cucamonga Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cucamonga Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/central-school-district/cucamonga-middle-school/25976"}
