The materials allowed us to plant and grow tomatoes from seeds as well as lettuce, giving students the opportunity to observe the complete life cycle of plants right in our classroom environment.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the gardening materials and seeds, they were immediately excited and full of questions. Many of them had never grown plants before, so watching tiny seeds sprout into healthy plants was an unforgettable experience. One of the most exciting classroom moments was when students noticed the first green sprouts pushing through the soil. They proudly measured plant growth, watered the plants daily, and carefully observed changes over time. These activities encouraged responsibility, teamwork, patience, and curiosity.\r\n\r\nWe connected our garden project directly to our science lessons by studying the structures and needs of living things. Students learned about roots, stems, leaves, and how plants depend on sunlight and water to survive and grow. The hands-on experience helped students better understand concepts that can sometimes feel abstract in textbooks alone. They were far more engaged because they could see science happening in real life.\r\n\r\nAs we continue this project, students are excited to keep observing plant growth and recording their findings in science journals. We are also discussing how gardens support healthy communities and ecosystems. Thank you again for making this learning experience possible. Your generosity has helped create lasting memories and meaningful learning opportunities for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1777997400100,"projectUrl":"project/from-hose-to-harvest-growing-student-le/10214378/","projectTitle":"From Hose to Harvest: Growing Student Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Biggs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10473728"},{"teacherId":10473728,"projectId":10179486,"letterContent":"The donation of headsets had a meaningful impact on my students' learning and engagement in the classroom. Before receiving these materials, it was often difficult for students to fully focus on individualized learning programs while working in a whole-class setting. Since many of my students work on different levels and use different online programs tailored to their unique academic needs, sound from multiple devices created distractions that interrupted concentration and limited productivity.\r\n\r\nWith the headsets provided, students are now able to independently access their Chromebooks and instructional programs quietly and comfortably without disrupting others around them. This has created a calmer and more focused learning environment where every student can work at their own pace while remaining engaged in meaningful instruction. The headsets have especially benefited students who require extra support with attention, processing, or differentiated instruction because they can now better hear directions, lessons, and educational activities without outside noise competing for their attention.\r\n\r\nBecause of these materials, I have been able to more effectively implement small-group and individualized instruction while the rest of the class continues learning independently. Students are more confident using their technology resources, and classroom transitions are smoother and more efficient. The increased ability to personalize learning has helped students stay motivated, engaged, and on task throughout the day.\r\n\r\nWe are also incredibly appreciative of the powerful erasers, which encourage students to take academic risks, erase freely, and feel confident and proud of their finished work.\r\n\r\nWe are incredibly grateful to the donors for supporting our classroom and helping provide tools that directly improve student learning opportunities and success.","fullyFundedDate":1778022614584,"projectUrl":"project/focus-take-risks-build-confidence/10179486/","projectTitle":"Focus! We are currently using these resources to organize our daily learning objectives and anchor charts. In a recent project, the students used the easel as a central hub for brainstorming, using the vibrant colored markers to categorize their thoughts clearly. The ability to move the easel around the room has made it easier to transition between whole-group instruction and small-group collaboration without losing momentum.\r\n\r\nOur next steps involve using the magnetic surface of the easel for upcoming hands-on math and science activities.
