The joy that these items have brought to our class are impossible to fully describe over a paragraph, but just know that our classroom has been filled with excitement with your help! \r\n\r\nSome of the our favorite items donated included books, phonics letter kits, and a marble maze. My students have read the books donated multiple times and have asked for more books in the same series! The phonics letter kits have been used to spell new sounds and make new words! The flexible seating and cozy materials have transformed our carpet area into a true reading community space. We also use the educational reading games during literacy centers, where students practice phonics, sight words, comprehension, and vocabulary in fun and meaningful ways. One special moment that stood out was seeing students choose to stay in the reading corner during free choice time, eagerly flipping through books and practicing their reading skills independently.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were beyond excited. The stuffed animals were an instant favorite! They now serve as \"reading buddies\" during independent reading and read aloud time. Students love holding their reading buddy while listening to a story or whisper-reading to them, which has especially helped build confidence in my emerging readers.
