Your thoughtful gift has already brought so much excitement to our students, and I wanted to take a moment to let you know just how much it means to all of us.\r\n\r\nPhysical education plays a vital role in the growth and development of young children. It supports not only their physical health but also their social, emotional, and cognitive development. At this age, movement and play are essential for learning, and having access to quality equipment makes all the difference in how we can support their needs. Thanks to your donation, our students now have the opportunity to actively engage in games that build coordination, teamwork, and confidence—all while having a great time.\r\n\r\nMany of our students come to school looking forward to these active breaks, and your donation has elevated their experience by providing tools that encourage movement and creativity. It's truly rewarding to see how something as simple as a new ball can light up a child's face and bring a classroom together. Your support helps create a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and excited to participate.\r\n\r\nWe are incredibly grateful for your kindness and generosity. Contributions like yours remind us that our community truly cares about the well-being and success of its children. Your support has made a tremendous difference in our learning environment, and I want you to know just how deeply appreciated your gift is.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher in a low-income school, I see firsthand the many challenges my students face every day—both in and out of the classroom. For many of them, access to books at home is limited or nonexistent. Before your donation, our classroom library was small and outdated, and it was difficult to provide students with the kind of reading materials that would truly excite and inspire them. Thanks to your kindness, that has changed in a big way.\r\n\r\nThe moment the new books arrived, my students' faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. They eagerly gathered around the boxes, wide-eyed and thrilled to explore the colorful covers and titles that promised adventure, mystery, humor, and learning. For some of them, this was their first time holding a brand-new book of their own choosing.\r\n\r\nSince receiving your donation, I've seen a noticeable difference in the way my students engage with reading. They are reading more frequently and with greater enthusiasm. During independent reading time, there is a calm buzz in the room as students immerse themselves in their books. They talk about the stories with their friends, recommend titles to one another, and even ask to borrow books to take home—something that wasn't possible before due to our limited selection.\r\n\r\nOne student, Maria, told me, \"This is the first book I've ever read all the way through by myself!\" Another student, Jamal, who used to struggle with staying focused during reading time, now can't wait to grab the next book in the series he discovered through your donation. These moments may seem small, but they are incredibly meaningful. They represent a shift in how our students see themselves as readers—and that shift can have a lifelong impact.\r\n\r\nThe books you donated are helping to build not only literacy skills, but also confidence, imagination, and a love of learning. They allow our students to see themselves in stories, to learn about the world, and to dream about the future.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and for giving them the tools to grow. Your support has turned our classroom into a place where books are loved, valued, and shared. The impact of your donation goes far beyond the pages of a book—it reaches into the hearts of children who now feel seen, supported, and inspired.","fullyFundedDate":1728010089494,"projectUrl":"project/help-these-4th-graders-have-access-to-bo/8484830/","projectTitle":"Help These 4th Graders Have Access to Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. LeFever","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9585238"},{"teacherId":9794214,"projectId":8859820,"letterContent":"Your generous donations have allowed me and my team to extend skills and lessons learned into engaging texts. Reading intervention students in grades 3-6 have been impacted the most. These students are seen in small groups where their foundational skills are reviewed and explicitly taught in an attempt to solidify their learning. Adding texts that are outside of their in-class assigned reading has created a novelty to reading that will eventually turn into reading for enjoyment. \r\nWe are using a foundational skills program focused on phonemic awareness, phonics, and morphology. Each lesson is explicitly taught. At the end, students are asked to put their reviewed or learned skills to work in the reading of their choice. Most groups enjoy reading the same book so that they can share their connections with their peers.\r\nThe most popular book by far is Willowdeen. I currently have 3 different groups reading this book. My 5th-grade group would rather read the book than complete the lesson which is an excellent sign that they are not only using reading to learn, but are enjoying it as well!","fullyFundedDate":1731940394121,"projectUrl":"project/six-minutes-to-literacy/8859820/","projectTitle":"Six Minutes to Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9794214"},{"teacherId":9793905,"projectId":8952236,"letterContent":"My resource classroom, special education aides, and students are stopping incredibly grateful for your donation.
