Every item from my wish list, for the 'Montessori Math' proposal, has been wonderful and is already making a meaningful difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe Montessori Stamp Games have become a daily favorite—my students have had so many \"aha!\" moments as they begin to see why and how regrouping works in addition and multiplication. The place value cards and Golden Beads have helped them grasp the value of digits and understand expanded notation in a concrete, joyful way.\r\n\r\nWe've also been using the Montessori beads to explore arrays in multiplication, and the students absolutely love working with them. The large magnetic grid board has been a perfect tool for modeling and sharing ideas, allowing students to demonstrate arrays for their classmates. Even the seat cushions have brought comfort and focus—whether during group work, independent practice, or silent reading time.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, my classroom has become an even richer and more vibrant learning environment. Thank you for giving my students these incredible opportunities to explore, discover, and grow. When the art supplies first arrived, my students were buzzing with excitement. Many of them began brainstorming what they could create, and a few even gasped out loud when they saw the watercolors, paints, and clay—these materials felt very special to them.\r\n\r\nSince then, the supplies have been put to wonderful use. One highlight was when students used clay to design detailed maps of California. After learning about the regions of California, they shaped mountains, valleys, and coastlines, and then proudly explained their creations to the class. We've also used the paints and watercolors for Dot-Day artwork, self-portraits and creative landscapes, giving students an outlet to express themselves and share their ideas with peers.\r\n\r\nThese resources have brought so much joy, curiosity, and creativity into our classroom. The moment my 5th graders saw the new supplies, they were thrilled—especially when they noticed the colorful bulletin board borders and hands-on science kits. These resources have already made such a difference in both the atmosphere and the learning experiences in our room. One particularly special moment was when a group of girls came together to build the Light-Up Terrarium Kit as a way to welcome and bond with a new student—it was a beautiful example of friendship, collaboration, and curiosity all sparked by your donation.\r\n\r\nWe've also begun exploring the Matter Science Kit and recently completed a fun and interactive lesson on the three states of matter. The social emotional scenario cards have been another big hit—they've helped guide meaningful conversations during our morning meetings and support our classroom community. I've also started using ideas from the Simple STEAM activity book during our 4th/5th grade STEAM rotations; the art-based activities have been especially engaging and have encouraged students to think creatively while working together.
