Your support has made a meaningful difference in the daily experiences of our students, and we are incredibly grateful for your commitment to enhancing learning within our school community.\r\n\r\nSince its arrival, the 3D printer has transformed how our students engage with technology. It has opened the door to hands-on exploration, allowing students to design, prototype, and bring their ideas to life in ways that foster creativity and deepen understanding. Whether they are engineering small structures, creating tools for classroom projects, or learning to troubleshoot their own designs, students are gaining valuable skills that prepare them for the rapidly evolving world of STEM.\r\n\r\nIn addition to expanding academic opportunities, the 3D printer has created new avenues for student leadership. Students have stepped forward to become tech mentors, assisting peers and even teachers in learning how to operate the printer and use design software. These leadership roles have empowered students to take ownership of their learning, collaborate with others, and develop confidence in their abilities—all while contributing positively to the school culture.\r\n\r\nYour donation has also strengthened our schoolwide efforts to reinforce positive behavior. The 3D printer has become a key part of our student incentive program, allowing us to reward kindness, responsibility, and academic effort with personalized 3D-printed items. These incentives have been incredibly motivating, giving students something unique to work toward while reinforcing the importance of making positive choices.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity and belief in our students. Because of you, Rolling Hills Middle School can offer innovative learning experiences, build strong student leaders, and continue nurturing a positive, connected school community. We truly appreciate the impact you have made.","fullyFundedDate":1758665721524,"projectUrl":"project/a-3d-printerinspiring-and-future-focuse/9712177/","projectTitle":"A 3D Printer—Inspiring and Future Focused","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cox","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6608368_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757735194766","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6608368"},{"teacherId":9517854,"projectId":9624852,"letterContent":"I am beyond thrilled to share that our new standing desks and wobble stools have arrived and are already making a tremendous difference in our classroom! The excitement was contagious the moment students walked in and saw these new additions. Their faces absolutely lit up.\r\n\r\nAt the beginning of each class, I now have a small group of eager students come up to \"check out\" one of the new flexible seating options. What has been most impressive is how respectful and responsible they've been about taking turns and sharing — something that, as any middle school teacher knows, can be quite the challenge with 8th graders!\r\n\r\nThe impact on focus and engagement has been noticeable from day one. Students who previously struggled to sit still or stay on task are now able to channel that movement in a positive way. The wobble stools allow for subtle motion that helps students regulate their energy and stay attentive during lessons, while the standing desks give others the freedom to move, stretch, and stay physically comfortable as they work. These options have truly made learning more accessible and enjoyable for all kinds of learners.\r\n\r\nBeyond the physical benefits, these new tools have fostered a greater sense of ownership and independence. Students are making choices about how they learn best — standing, sitting, or gently wobbling — and in turn, they are more engaged, focused, and productive.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only enhanced our classroom environment but has also empowered my students to take charge of their learning. Because of you, they feel seen, supported, and valued. These standing desks and wobble stools will continue to serve hundreds of students in the years to come, giving every new class the same opportunity to learn in a space designed for their success.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for investing in our classroom, our students, and their futures. Your kindness and generosity have truly made a lasting difference. The only way we can repay you is by using these resources every day to become stronger, more focused, and more successful learners.","fullyFundedDate":1757281036036,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-supports-all-learners/9624852/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating Supports All Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Salcedo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9517854"},{"teacherId":10050993,"projectId":9399313,"letterContent":"Over the past three years, I've been actively transforming my 7th Grade Language Arts classroom into a kinesthetic environment. I've started to incorporate brain breaks, fidgets, active movement to support learning, gestures, and groups. While I know that the implementation of movement into my classroom has improved student learning, I underestimated the impact of our new wobble chairs. \r\nWhen the chairs arrived, my students were ecstatic. They could hardly wait to start using them. I established a slideshow with some rules for using the chairs and a schedule for the students to have equal access to the chairs. On the first day I posted the schedule, my students were so excited to start using them. Since then, they have been so responsible about getting the chairs, stacking their other chairs, and putting the chairs away at the end of each class period. During class, the students enjoy non-distracting movement while focusing on their Language Arts tasks. The wobble chairs are like a huge fidget, providing movement and enhancing focus, while keeping the students' hands free, allowing them to write, type, and participate in class activities. An added bonus--they no longer lean back in their regular chairs, causing undue stress on their structure. \r\nWithout the generous donations of my friends and family, the school family, and the many donors associated with Donors Choose, the addition of wobble chairs to my classroom would not have been possible. I cannot begin to express my gratitude and the gratitude of my students. The chairs are transforming the learning environment, and the students are more focused and excited to be in the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1755736773798,"projectUrl":"project/weeble-wobbles-wobble-but-they-dont-fa/9399313/","projectTitle":"Weeble Wobbles Wobble, But They Don't Fall Down!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Root","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10050993_orig.jpg?crop=271,271,x204,y254&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749161765774","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10050993"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_61747","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":814,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":13,"percentAsian":18,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":56,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":14,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"18.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":94.3,"schoolId":61747,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rolling Hills Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rolling Hills Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/buckeye-union-school-district/rolling-hills-middle-school/61747"}
