My students work with me in the resource room, where I support them with skills that feel HARD. It can be very frustrating for my students to see their peers whiz through assignments and tasks that they haven't yet mastered.\r\n\r\nAfter we work on remediating skills one on one ,or in a small group, I give my students time to check out my new library (the one you helped me create)! They are typically surprised when they discover that the main characters have disabilities such as dyslexia, autism, ADHD, and more. I enjoy having conversations about how the characters have persevered and found ways to be successful.
