The materials have become a part of the classroom environment that the students use daily. The improved environment has a calming effect for students with sensory sensitivities and also benefits students with visual impairments. \r\nIn addition, the students enjoyed the felt pieces that assist them in retelling the Pete the Cat story. One of the students was very enthusiastic he could communicate the story through visuals despite his language delays. These materials will benefit not only current students but future students. \r\nThe next steps in regards to this lesson/project are that the students can now focus on enjoying learning instead of having discomfort or distraction due to the harsh lighting!
