Your kindness has made a meaningful difference in my classroom and has helped me provide support to students in ways that go beyond academics.\r\n\r\nI work with a diverse group of students, many of whom face challenges outside of the classroom that can affect their ability to focus, participate, and succeed in school. Having snacks available helps students who may come to class hungry, giving them something to eat so they can better focus on learning and participate in activities. Sometimes, something as simple as a snack can make a student feel cared for and ready to take on the day.\r\n\r\nThe donated personal hygiene products have also made a significant impact. Access to these essential items can help students feel more comfortable, confident, and prepared to participate in school. By having these supplies available, I can help meet some of their basic needs while protecting their dignity and allowing them to focus on their education.\r\n\r\nWith more than 150 students in my classes, having access to these resources makes a real difference. I do my best to provide a positive learning environment and the supplies my students need, but I cannot always meet every need on my own. For example, we've used them in small groups to role-play real classroom situations, build sentences, and practice clear speech in conversation. The hands-on tools keep students focused, motivated, and proud of their progress.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, several students immediately asked, \"Do we get to use these in speech?\" Their faces lit up when they realized the answer was yes. One student who is usually hesitant to speak volunteered first — simply because the materials made the activity feel fun and safe.\r\n\r\nWe will continue using these tools to help students generalize their speech skills beyond therapy and into their daily classes. Students will track their goals, practice more independently, and participate with growing confidence.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is giving our students a stronger voice — literally and figuratively.
