I enjoyed the feeling of opening the boxes and seeing books I know my students will love.\r\n\r\nThese books will have an impact on my students. I am an intervention TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) for reading at my middle school. I work with students that struggle with reading and reading comprehension. These students struggle to find joy in reading, but constantly talk about books they read in elementary school. The books provided by you from this project are these old favorites. As I was unpacking the books and adding them to my library spreadsheet, my students got so excited! \"Are those all of the Diary or a Wimpy Kid books?\" and \"You have DORK Diaries??? NO way!\" and even \"Can I be the first one to check this book out?\" One student was so excited that she was petting the books in her favorite series, begging me to let her take them home like a new puppy. THIS is why these books are important. THIS is why I am so grateful to have these new books.","fullyFundedDate":1737568658284,"projectUrl":"project/matador-must-have-middle-grade-books/8822912/","projectTitle":"Matador Must-Have Middle Grade Books","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Valenzuela","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1529440_orig.jpg?crop=799,800,x980,y133&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1692832307534","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kristen-d-valenzuela"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29705","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":734,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":88,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"22.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":55.9,"schoolId":29705,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Sierra Vista Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Sierra Vista Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/baldwin-park-unified-school-district/sierra-vista-junior-high-school/29705"}
